What is Invisalign?
Properly aligned, straight teeth are not only beautiful, they are often more comfortable and healthier. An improper bite and crooked teeth may lead to long-term dental issues that can become uncomfortable and more difficult to address. This is why our dental team is pleased to provide the Invisalign system of clear, removable teeth aligners for patients in New Braunfels, TX. Custom made to fit your teeth and your specific goals, Invisalign is less obvious and often more comfortable than metal orthodontics because they may be removed to make cleaning your teeth and eating much easier. If you are interested in getting straighter teeth with this advanced orthodontic technology, schedule a consultation with our certified Invisalign dentist at ACE Dental of New Braunfels to learn more!

"Every 6 months ago I go to my dentist who is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. My daughter and son talked me into moving here to New Braunfels, Texas because both of them live here. I did and just love this wonderful town. I'm so close to Walmart, HEB Grocery Stores plus my bowling. I was shopping at Lowe's and also found a shopping center near and saw a sign that read ACE Dental. I made an appointment. I was so happy with the employees who saw me especially doing my xrays. They did a good job. Then my dentist, Dr. Park came in and did a good job with my teeth. She was a woman dentist. This is the first time I had a woman dentist. She was great. She did a good job cleaning my teeth. I also told her what wonderful equipment ACE had. Everything looked brand new when I sat down. I told her that and she appreciated it. I'm glad I live 5 minutes away from where I live. I'm going to give her business cards to my family and friends."- M.T. / Google / Jun 10, 2021
who Is a Candidate for Invisalign?
The alignment of your teeth may be affected by several factors, including genetics, oral injuries, tooth loss, and thumb-sucking as a child. Invisalign may be great for both adults and teens who would like to achieve straighter, healthier teeth without the look and challenges that are often associated with metal braces. There are several factors that can make you a good candidate for Invisalign, including if you have:
- Overcrowded teeth
- Gapped teeth
- Misaligned teeth
- An overbite or underbite
- A crossbite or open bite
- Narrow dental arches
How Does Invisalign Work?
The initial Invisalign trays will be made with digital iTero impressions of your mouth, which the Invisalign lab will use to customize your orthodontic appliances. You should keep your aligners in at least 20 hours each day for the system to work, ideally removing them only for eating and cleaning. In time, you will go on to the next set of aligners as they gently shift your teeth closer to proper alignment. You should schedule appointments around every 4 – 6 weeks at ACE Dental of New Braunfels to have your tooth alignment and progress evaluated. How long you use the Invisalign system will differ considering the original positioning of your teeth and your goals, but most patients wear trays between six months and two years.
After Your Invisalign treatment
As soon as your bite is aligned, it is crucial to prevent your teeth from shifting into their original position. Vivera® retainers by Invisalign are created with new iTero impressions taken after your orthodontic treatment is complete. They are made with the same comfortable materials as your aligner trays and help keep your teeth in position after your Invisalign treatment is done. We will explain how many hours a day you should wear your retainers, plus how to clean them once they are sent from the lab. Our team will continue to monitor your teeth alignment and bite during your routine dental examinations.
Insurance Coverage For Invisalign
Many of our patients find that some of their Invisalign treatment cost is paid by dental insurance. Our team can determine your coverage and calculate your out-of-pocket costs. ACE Dental of New Braunfels accepts several forms of payment if you are not using insurance. During your consultation, we can discuss your estimated costs and ways to help to make your treatment affordable for you with payment plans and healthcare financing.
